A useful article, I had thought of crowd funding as a wacky way for start ups especially in the IT sector to utilise as a source of funding.

However I now realise that its application is wider than that and actually is more applicable to companies with tangible goods or services that have a track record and good existing customer relationships in place making it far easier to explore crowd funding as a source as you are already demonstrating what you do and have in place a loyal group who understand this and are probably ready to support your next step.

Will bear this mind, that you should not be to rigid in thinking that only conventional sourcing such as bank loans are the way forward for start ups or SMEs and that in the internet age there are many other paths to consider as well.
