A year ago, when I interviewed a candidate for the post of assistant accountant, he asked me about the culture of existing staff. His concern was getting support from the staff is difficult or not. I didn't answer his questions, but I called three other staff and told them to answer this question. They simply smiled at him and said " welcome to our family".

Important to think about this when joining a new organisation

Useful review.  Will be able to think about this when seeking self employed finance manager (or similar) work.

Relationships with small organisations/charity may benefit from asking probing questions early on.

I would like to read more on this and the application of whistleblowing in organisations - and the impact it has on integrity. (good or bad)
