I totally agree with the point that finance professionals tend to underestimate their creativity, we in most cases see creativity in big ideas that substantially change the business and ignore the day to day ideas that lead to small and incremental improvements.

Interesting reading, creating a culture of ongoing learning and development is important.

Really good self reflection question: do you assign success/failre to effort invested or to innate ability. 

The later gives "excuses" and takes away your ability to perform outside of "what you are good at". 

Focus on effort and investment, ackownleding a skill or knowledge gap and investing the effort to learn
